I've been using this twice a day for seven months and it still works perfectly. I have no regrets about spending so much money on a tamper, as it is great to have perfectly consistent tamp pressure every time with zero effort. Sometimes, grounds get in between the two layers, but I usually just ignore them or blow them out, which takes about two seconds. I have no desire to upgrade to a self-tamping grinder because the Force Tamper is so good, consistent and quick. It takes no time at all.
It arrived earlier than expected, which I like. I don't have to guess how much pressure is being applied — the click lets me know. It feels sturdy, too. It hasn't solved all my problems when it comes to dialling in a good espresso, but it's one less thing to worry about.
